Red Sonja is Conan with boobs. I like her, don't get me wrong, but the character was never explored in such a way that I found any difference between her and Conan.

In this case, Amelia is a scientist not a barbarian, so she'll be dealing with technology and super science and all that fun jazz.

I think it is a good sign. Especially since you want to do s&s without it being a direct Conan rip off. Sounds like you're off to a really good start already!
