This is why sandals are the greatest thing ever. It's the closest I can come to being barefoot in public without actually being barefoot. Plus I can slip them off really quickly and it's not weird.

I blame my hatred of shoes on being raised in the wilds. I walked around all summer barefoot. Also, I have wide feet so sneakers and tennis shoes are never comfortable to me.

Ergo, I have tons of flip flops and sandals, but only two pairs of shoes that are closed toed. One pair is like a clog, and the other has a velcro strap inside of laces. Much more comfortable than tennis shoes. Stupid OSHA with their demands of wearing closed toed shoes at work.

Everywhere else it's sandals all the way.
